Glasgow Christmas Is Back And Offering Twice The Magic

With even more on offer the Glasgow Christmas Market are thrilled to announce their return to one of their favourite cities this festive season adding their award-winning festive market in not one but two locations!

Thousands of visitors are expected to visit the Glasgow Christmas Markets, part of the seasonal Glasgow Loves Christmas offering, to share in the experience of international gastronomic treats, crafts and entertainment. Step into the joy of Christmas at the Glasgow Christmas Markets in two locations this year, St Enoch Square and George Square, double the fun with even more chalets offering festive delights.

In addition visitors to George Square can experience two large windmill chalets, not only do they look great but if you’re in the right place at the right time, you’ll see the special features come to life. With a Victorian Carousel and a vintage Helter Skelter there is much fun to be had by little ones at the market. A giant advent calendar will open at daily intervals to reveal special treats inside and a Santa train which travels around the perimeter of the George Square market is available when little feet get tired!

The Market still offers something a little bit different with 32 nationalities from all over the world bringing all sorts of unusual foods and gift ideas. Get into the holiday spirit as you wander through charming wooden chalets filled with handcrafted goods, international cuisine and bespoke local products. Warm your heart with a ‘hug in a mug’ hot glüwhein. Let yourself be spoilt for choice with a huge variety of authentic continental goodies including crepes from France, Dutch pancakes, Belgian chocolates, an exotic selection of ostrich, wild boar and crocodile burgers, giant bratwurst from the iconic Schwenkgrill, Spanish paella, and nougat from Italy. Visitors can take a culinary trip around the world before relaxing in one of four bars across two sites, serving drinks from all over the continent until late into the evening, sage words of seasonal advice will be on offer from the wise Elk on high in the Elk bar in George Square.

Open from 10am each day the friendly festive market is bustling from the moment the chalets open until the close of business each day.  Wrap up warm, bring the family, connect with friends and create some wonderful memories at the Glasgow Christmas Market, open each day.
