  • Continental Market
    Market Place ( Europe ) Ltd. is an exciting Company whose principals have a proven track record in the organisation and management of Continental Markets in the UK for over 13 years and is now probably the largest operator of Continental and Specialist Markets in the UK . In respect of Continental and Special event Markets our pedigree could not be higher. The Company has probably the most experienced person in the UK leading the organisation and development of its Continental Market programme. Following on the success of the first ever European Market in 1992 Allan built an extensive programme of Continental Markets successfully for many years. He continues to have the support of a large number of traders from across Europe , some of who have been with him since that very first event and who have continue their support in this new Company. As a former Chairman of the European Association of Municipal Retail Markets and European Adviser to the National Association of British Market Authorities Allan developed an extensive network of contacts, both in terms of trade organisations and market organisers, as well as a unique insight into market organisation throughout Europe . As a result of this network and continuing support the Company boasts a large data base of traders representing different countries around Europe . Market Place is committed to working in partnership with local authorities and Town and City Centre Management to provide high quality Continental Markets that add life, colour and vibrancy to the existing street scene. The emphasis is always on “quality” and given the extent of the database the company is able to offer a bespoke service creating the right event for your town or city. Market Place operates true Continental Markets with traders travelling in to the UK from around Europe primarily from France , Germany Holland, Spain, Austria , Belgium and Italy . Market Place has already in its first year of operation become the biggest operator of special event markets in the UK and has established an impressive and satisfied client group not only in Continental Markets but also through its Consultancy contracts. In the build up to the enlargement of the EU Allan assisted the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in creating potential trade opportunities for small businesses particularly from the Accession Countries and within Europe through which Market Place has started to expand the range of countries attending our events.
  • Global Markets
    Arising out our innovative partnership working arrangements with Bradford City Council we are now able to deliver a truly unique Global market featuring all the very best foods and merchandise from the far East. Customers will be able to sample the finest Indian catering, savour herbs and spices from all parts of the Far East, take a look at all the best quality Asian clothing, footwear, scarves, jewellery, craftware, musical instruments and marvel at the fantastic range of fabulous fabrics and other gifts. On a more unusual note the market will also feature lanterns from Morocco , old wall hangings from India , bonsai from China , Indian henna body art, sweets and nuts from Iran and many other exotic and unusual items. The range and quality of goods on offer have to be seen to be believed and the sights, sounds and smells of the visually stunning market will add a touch of the far East to any city or town. With only the very highest quality of goods on offer, the standard of goods at the Global Market cannot be compared with other Asian goods found elsewhere and all the proprietor traders will be pleased to give help, assistance and advice to all who visit the market.     Following on from the success of Continental Markets and the resurgence of Farmers Markets in the UK, Market Place is introducing a new dimension to its specialist market programme for 2005 - The introduction of “International and Gourmet Food Markets” - probably one of the most exciting new initiatives in the market industry in the last few years. Market Place has been actively sourcing some of Britain’s and Europe’s finest gourmet food producers many of whom have featured on national TV food programmes and have won local, regional and national food awards. As with Continental Markets we will deliver this high quality, high profile event to selected town and city centre venues in the UK . Whilst the initial phase will concentrate on the very best of British the gourmet food market concept may also be flexible to include some of Europe ’s finest food producers to enable a European Food Market concept to develop. Once again the principals have considerable experience in this area having successfully introduced Farmers Markets to various projects working with organisations such as The Rural Regeneration Unit, National Farmers Union and been actively involved in Food led initiatives such as British Food Fortnight. Market Place is a great supporter of British fine foods believing firmly that British food producers are among the best in the world. Gourmet food markets will bring a true flavour of Britain ’s Best to the High Street and will support healthy eating for the local community and a return to fresh food consumption.   • Irish Markets
    After the success last year of our St. Patricks Day Irish Market held in Sheffield and the hugely popular and successful 28 day Belfast Christmas Market featuring a number of the most well known Irish traders we are pleased to announce that we are now launching a specialist, high quality, genuine Irish Market. As a result of our extensive contacts with many local authorities, government agencies and trading organisations throughout the whole of Ireland, we have been able to source a wide and varied selection of Irish traders all offering the very best in food, drink, clothing, gifts and many other unusual products – all direct from the Emerald Isle itself. The quality of Irish dairy produce is legendary and all the cheeses, butters and creams, together with all the other wonderful goods on offer will live up to all expectations. Many traders, especially the food traders, have won national and international awards for their produce and all exhibit at the prestigious St. Georges Hall in Belfast and many other major venues throughout the length and breadth of the land.
